Apply to volunteer at No-Dig Down Under 2019, the 13th Australasian industry’s only conference and exhibition dedicated to no-dig technologies. 


With a world-class conference program featuring over 60 speakers and a 6,000 square metre exhibition hall with over 100 exhibitors, don’t miss this opportunity to gain insight and experience on an event that will see more than 1,200 attendees from councils and water authorities, telecommunications and energy utilities.

We are looking for volunteers who possess an approachable, friendly, helpful and positive attitude. The aim is to make our attendees feel welcome, valued and most importantly, enthused to participate as much as possible in the event with intentions of returning for the next No-Dig Down Under in 2021. 


  • Registration desk: checking in attendees and assisting with any enquiries 
  • Conference stream: manning the entrances to the conference stream rooms, scanning delegates into sessions, roving the microphone when required for attendees with questions
  • Exhibition: assisting with the exhibition information desk (answering questions and handling exhibitor queries), scanning attendees entering the exhibition hall, gently reminding staff and attendees of the catering arrangements
  • Runner/floater: run errands, fill in for any unexpected absences, contact speakers when required and any other miscellaneous tasks requested by the key events team
  • Bag packing: packing the conference delegate satchels and assisting with moving bags from the packing room to the registration desk 


  • Time: Minimum 4-hour shifts from Monday 9 – Friday 13 September 2019
  • Please refer to the online form to indicate your availability
  • Dress code: 
    • Neat black pants
    • Neat shoes (comfortable but clean and presentable black sneakers are acceptable)
    • Events t-shirts will be provided (please indicate your size via the online form)


  • Meals: full catering will be provided for shifts over 4 hours
  • T-shirts: volunteers t-shirts will be provided (your shirt size will be requested)
  • Briefings/information: volunteers briefing will be provided along with information/FAQ sheets to assist with any questions from attendees
  • Headquarters: a designated room will be available for volunteers to take breaks and eat their meals
